The Mugals love for gardens found its way into buildings. All the gardens they created and the flowers they planted were immortalised in stone inlay which has a wonderful three dimensional effect.
The Pietra Dura technique was originally taught to Indian artisans in the 17th century by Florentine craftsmen lured to the riches of Mugal Court.
